While some wait to see what apparel is going to be hot and trendy for the upcoming seasons, us beauty gurus instead wait anxiously to know if the fresh nail art is something fun or subtle, if the trending eye colors is something that we can pull off and if the show hair is something we will be bold enough to try.
Now that New York fall/winter 2015 Fashion Week has come to its end, we have rounded up some of the top trending beauty looks that covered the runways!
This was a huge trend on the runways. There were countless natural and effortless looking faces throughout many of the shows. Though it may not have appeared that way, the natural look did in fact utilize a few makeup products.
Many eyes went without eyeliner and used very subtle, if not any, eye shadow. The lips were left pale and cheeks were often only lightly touched with blush; usually just enough to bring the faces to life. Marc Jacobs actually sent a few of his models out with zero makeup on whatsoever.
On the other side of the spectrum were numerous bold looks. Many of these makeup looks were daring and slightly outrageous. Of course there were the usual overly dramatic black liners and bursts of thick colored lines surrounding the eyes. Likewise, the cat eye trend also made an appearance, along with bright, dramatic eye shadows.
Give it Some Edge
With bold looks, came some edgy ones as well. There were numerous smoked out eyes in all sorts of colors. The rock ’n’ roll look was in full swing.
Many runways showcased dark eyes and cat eyes, both in vibrant colors. Not only did the makeup bring some edge, but their hair brought some fun too.
Hairstyles ranged from jagged haircuts, unkempt styles in the face and eccentric colors throughout.
We all wish we could roll out of bed and go, and now the runway has given us permission. Hair was anything but intact and polished, in a numerous amount of shows. Multiple models came out looking natural with tousled curls and hair that seemed untouched and undone.
The greasy look also found its way onto the runway. Hair was either slicked back and laying flat or smoothed back into a chic pony. The hair appeared extremely oiled and shiny. If not overly greasy, it seemed the models had just stepped out of the shower.
Big Big Hair
We have all heard it before, “the bigger the hair the better,” and some designers seemed to agree. The hair went back in time and was in full-blown teased mode. The hair was big, often with large poofs on top of the head. This bold look is likely not for the faint of heart.
Many interesting looks stormed this seasons runways. I am sure, if you are like us, you cannot wait to start trying some out. There was a wide range from subtle and refined looks, to more daring and eccentric.
