Roses are red, violets are blue, we have some makeup looks that will look darling on you!
Ah, love is in the air and it is time to start thinking about what makeup look to rock for your sweetheart on Valentine’s Day. We have put together two separate looks for you to choose from; whether, you are going for a girly, pretty, and sweet look – or maybe seeking something more seductive, dramatic, and sultry; we have got you covered.
For both looks, go about your face routine as you would normally. Make sure to include a primer so your makeup lasts the entire night. After applying concealer, be sure to set your makeup in with a translucent powder.
Pretty In Pink
Face: After your usual foundation routine, this look would look great with a rose pink blush. The pink blush gives you that sweet appearance, but still keeps it simple. A highlight is optional, though perfect for giving your skin a little extra natural glow.
Eyes: Take a light shade, preferably a color you would use as a highlight, and pack it onto the lid as a base. A bright base will stand out and opens up your eyes.
Next, take a pearl pink shadow and lightly apply it into your crease. Be sure to blend out any harsh lines. Then take the previously used rose pink blush and work it into your crease to darken the look up a little and add some dimension. Using the same blush shade will also create an overall cohesive look. You can also take the blush shade and add it to your outer V, building the color as much as you would.
Then take a pigmented matte white shadow and place that into the inner corner of your eyes to brighten them up even more. Using the same matte white shade, place underneath the brows as a highlight. For an even brighter and wider eye appearance, use a white pencil liner on the lower water line.
Lastly, apply your favorite mascara as usual.
Lip: Finish off the sweet look with a pale pink lip and some clear gloss on top for a simple, yet cute look.

Bold and Smokey
Face: Again, once you have finished your usual foundation routine, this more sultry and seductive look is complemented well with a deep wine colored blush. It is optional to add a contour for a dramatic effect. Bronzer can also be utilized to add even more color to your face.
Eyes: Begin by priming your eyes before following up with a light matte brown shade over the entire lid. Then take the same color and blend it out into your crease. Be sure to blend really well as darker colors are harder to get to appear smooth against light skin.
After, choose a matte brown shadow a few shades darker than the brown shade you already used. Then use a small pencil brush to place into the outer V of your eyes. During this process, build the color to your desired shade. Take the same dark matte brown and line the bottom line of your eye. This will balance out the eye.
You can then blend the darker brown further into the crease. Again, add as much as you would like for a more intense eye. Once it is all blended and smoked out, take your favorite eyeliner and draw out a thicker than usual line along the top. You can then apply your mascara as usual and be finished, or add some falsies for an even more striking look, as I did here.
Lips: Many people are often scared of red lips, but Valentine’s Day is the perfect day to get away with a bold red lip. First, line the lips with a red liner and fill in the entire area. This will make the color last longer and keep you from worrying worried all-day or night whether your lips are still intact. Then finish it off by taking a red lipstick and place it on top. For even longer lasting lips, I placed a translucent powder over the top of the lipstick.
