Designers are flocking to it, makeup gurus are loving it, and now it is your turn. Spring is here, and so are metallics! This trend may seem daunting, but I assure you this one is as easy as one, two, three.
Look One – Lips
If you are the girl that is always up on the trends and willing to try something new, here is one more for you. Nothing says fierce like metallic lips. So, when girl’s night comes around simply pull out a metallic red for just the right amount of fun.On the other hand, a dark metallic plum alongside bold brows will give you a nice edgy look. And if you want to go really wild then copy a popular runway look and go for a mix of purple and blue shades.
Look Two – Liner
This is the easiest of the three. So definitely give it a shot. Above the lash line, metallic liners are great to work with. Maybelline, as well as Urban Decay, offer many shades for any eye color. Yet, after some research there are some go-to colors to make certain eye colors pop.
Those big brown eyes will have the boys speechless when lined with violet and dark purples. As for you girls with bright baby blues, anything brown, copper or orange in metallic will make them pop. For you green and hazel-eyed ladies go for a gold or green shade. Both of these colors will make your eyes hard not to pay attention to.
Look Three – Eyeshadow
Designers like Versace and Micheal Kors did not bat an eye with this trend (pun intended). Their models are just some of many walking down the runways with beautiful clothes and shimmering eyes.
With eye shadow, a few tricks to make sure it works is checking that you have the right color for your skin. Fair skin and cool undertones look great with nearly black and gunmetal silvers, while girls with warm undertones should grab elegant golds, for these will really make your eyes glow. Finally, if you have darker skin then go for a light silver shade.
Metallic anything can seem daunting, but especially if it is being put on your face. But with a few insights into what looks best with your eye color or skin tone you too can be rocking some fierce metallics this spring.
